Payton Turns 5!

While we were in Disneyland Payton had her birthday.  She has been waiting to turn 5 forever I am not sure why but she wanted to be 5.  She was excited to have her birthday in Disneyland.  We took her to Minne and Friends breakfast in the park she had fun eating Mickey Mouse waffles and meeting the characters.  I know I say it every year but it seems like she has grown up so fast.  She is so fun to be around she loves giving hugs and cuddling with you.  She has the best laugh and she can be really silly.  She loves to play outside with her friends and brothers.  She also loves all the Disney princesses.  She was excited to meet princess Tiana for the first time.  She loves to draw and color and she always wants to write all the names of everyone in our family.  She also enjoys telling knock knock jokes and if no one else laughs she does. It is so fun watching her grown up she is a great kid and we all love her very much!

Disneyland

We went to Disneyland for a vacation and it was so much fun.  The kids are all getting so big it is fun to watch them there.  Payton was big enough to go on Space Mountain, Tower of Terror and  Big Thunder Railroad and she loved them all except Tower of Terror.  She did ask to go on Tower of Terror and even after I told her it was scary she still wanted to go.  Chris said she did not blink but after that she never went again.  Carter was finally able to go on California Screamin even though we had to put paper towels in his shoes so that he was tall enough to get on the ride.  He loved it and went on it 5-6 times a day.  Logan was still not big enough to go on all the rides he wanted if he could he would have followed the boys on every roller coaster.  When we were walking one day he asked if he got bigger last night so he could go on the rides.  He loves Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean he sings the song the whole way through.  He also loved its a small world and this made the older boys crazy because they would have to ride it with us.  It was so fun to go on vacation and get to enjoy time with family the kids love it and so do I.

My two little monters at least they are both super cute!

Payton was glad to find someone that loved Alice and Wonderland as much as she does!

John and Chris took the boys on the teacups to see how fast they could make it spin.  All the boys looked like they were about to puke.

This was the only rollercoaster Logan could go on and he loved it as you can see he has his hands up and everything.

I thought our Star Wars phase was over but they still love it and they love these hats my mom got them they can't wait to wear them next winter.
All the kids loved the Phineas and Ferb dance party I think Payton made us watch it everytime she saw it going.

Payton with her favorite princess Cinderella.

I love this picture you can barely see Logan he loved taking pictures with all the characters.

Easter

This year Easter was pretty fun the kids are all getting older and so it is fun to watch all of them. Logan thought that the Easter bunny was the best thing that ever happened to him since he got a whole bag of candy for himself. Jaxson and Carter still love the Easter egg hunt and all the candy that they get. Payton is less concerned about the amount of eggs that she collects and more concerned about what color they are. While all the other kids are picking up eggs she is walking around searching for either a pink or purple one to pick up. It is was a fun day I love watching the kids run around picking up eggs I will be sad when they are to old for Easter Egg hunts.

Neon Trees Benefit Concert for Giant Steps

The Neon Trees did a benefit concert for Giant Steps this weekend. Giant Steps is an autism preschool and they do so much for the kids there. This is Payton's first year there but the teachers are so great they have helped her so much she really loves it there. They have so many great ideas to help you and the kids it helps to make life a little easier for the parents and the kids. The concert was really fun but I don't think any of my kids really knew what to think about it. Logan liked it the most and was dancing and having a great time the others just kind of sat there and listened. It was such a great event to help raise money for Giant Steps.

Autism Awareness Month

Since April is Autism Awareness month they had a kickoff celebration at a UVU baseball game. This was such a fun event they gave everyone balloons to let go it was so neat seeing them all float up into the sky. With the number of children diagnosed with autism rising it is a good time to learn more about autism and the early signs of autism. We have been so blessed to get all the assistance that we have with Payton. I know that the early intervention really helped her I am not sure where we would be without programs like Kids on the Move and Giant Steps.
