Before anyone can take this post seriously they will have to completely disregard Chris's glasses which he thinks are awesome. This is what happens when you ask Chris to get Payton ready for bed he tells her to go upstairs and she runs outside to play then Chris follows her and they proceed to play out there until mom the bad guy makes Payton come in and get ready for bed. I love to watch these two together even though Chris will never admit it Payton has him wrapped around her little finger.

Carter First Soccer Game and First Day of School

Friday was Carter's first day of school and his first soccer game. He was very excited about school this year and I was excited when I dropped him off and he didn't run out of the room crying after me. He loves the fact that there are 8 boys and 4 girls in his class and he says he made lots of friends on Friday, but he doesn't remember any of their names.
Friday was also his first soccer game and anyone that knows Carter knows that this was going to be very interesting to watch especially since dad is the coach and takes the game very seriously and Carter takes nothing seriously at all. I thought he did very well for it being 100 degrees outside and his first time but dad thinks he has a lot to work on like focus good luck with that this is Carter we are talking about. He also gets to play soccer with one of his best buddies so this does not help with his focus as dad would say he is just out their having fun with his friends which is how I think it should be we just have to work on dad thinking the same way.

Our First Grader

Today was Jaxson's first day of first grade he was so excited and I was kind of sad. I thought dropping him off at kindergarten was hard, but I found leaving him today to be even harder. I think it was because I knew he would be there all day instead of just a few hours. Anyways back to Jaxson like always when he is excited about something he is up bright and early and it was no different this morning he could not wait to get ready for school and help me pack his lunch. Then he kept looking at his watch and telling me the time literally ever minute until it was time to go. Once we got to school he walked right in put his backpack in his cubby and then he was off to play and he didn't even really look back when I told him goodbye. I think it was because he had his friend Gavin with him and could not wait to get to the playground and play. He is so big now and sometimes it is nice that he doesn't need me to do everything for him anymore, but I do miss my little boy especially on days like today when I see him walk down the hall and not look back to see if I am still there. This is Jaxson outside the house before school annoyed that I am taking a picture and not taking him to school.

Carter's Campout Party

On Friday we had Carter's friend birthday party this year we had a campout theme. The kids roasted hot dogs and smores and we played in the backyard. The plan was to set up a tent for the kids to sleep in but the weather did not cooperate so we ended up inside the house. The kids still seemed to enjoy themselves and Carter had tons of fun. I was a little worried about having 7 boys sleeping over but it went really well they all had so much fun and they slept very well I was worried that we might be up all night.
One of the activities that we did was make these foam hats. I had the foam stick on letters and animals we just let them decorate them while we were waiting for everyone to get here. They all had fun and I was surprised that some of them actually kept them on.

They all had to take turns doing tricks on the trampoline they get braver everyday I am surprised that we have not had anyone get hurt yet.

This is the last of the parties for Carter it seems like it has been his birthday for a full week now. It was fun watching him at his party with his friends and I am glad that he enjoyed himself.

Birthday Fun

After patiently waiting all day it was finally time for presents and cake and Carter could hardly wait he unwrapped all the presents in 2 seconds and could not have been happier with his gifts. He got a wiggle car and a DS and that made his day. He could not wait to go outside and ride the wiggle car and when he was done with that he came in and played his DS. He was so happy and has loved playing with all his gifts.

Happy Birthday Carter!!

Today Carter turned 5 he was so excited when he woke up this morning and it was finally his birthday he has been waiting for this day ever since Logan was born. Below are a few of my favorite pictures of Carter they all capture a little bit of his personality. Carter is always happy and he is very silly he loves his brothers and sister and also loves to catch animals with his big brother. Some of my favorite things about Carter are his smile, that he still loves to cuddle with me, he is very easy going and always willing to help me with the other kids and his willingness to try anything well almost anything. Carter is a great kid and we love having him in our family he makes us laugh all the time with some of the things that he comes up with for instance when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday he said "A DS!" when a said well if you don't get a DS what else would you like he looked at me and said "A Pistol!" of course why didn't I think of that every 5 year old needs a pistol. So Happy Birthday Carter we hope you have a great day and we love you very much!!
