Summer Fun

Since I have not posted anything in months I thought it was time to post some pictures of summer. It finally got hot here and the kids love to play in the water. We took them to The Gateway and they played in the water there and they all loved it. Payton loved it until she got hit right in the face with the water and then the fun was over for her. Carter would have stayed there forever he thought it was so much fun I think this is why we don't have any pictures of him he would not hold still.

Boys and Bugs

So far this summer has been all about catching bugs, bees, flies and whatever else the boys can put in their bug catchers. My mom was nice enough to buy all the boys bug vests and all the tools you need to catch any bug around. They all have so much fun going outside trying to catch things and Logan is right behind Jaxson and Carter whether they like it or not. Logan has also become obsessed with Zeke (the lizard) he helps Chris feed him every night and has learned how to climb up the fridge and open it so he can get the cricket food. They are all having so much fun with all their bug gear and even though I find the stuff all over the house it has kept them busy so far this summer.

Logan Turns 2!

Logan turned 2 on Saturday he has gotten so big so fast. Out of all the boys I think he is the most fearless he will jump and climb up and on anything and is constantly trying to do exactly what his older brothers are doing. He still loves to give hugs and cuddle so this makes me happy. He thinks it is the greatest thing in the world that he gets to sleep in a big boy bed in the same room as his brothers. He loves his dad and follows him everywhere. If Chris is working in the yard Logan is right there with him and if Chris is coaching soccer Logan is right there playing like he is part of the team. He loves soccer and spends most of his day kicking his mickey mouse soccer ball around the house. He is talking really well and has figured out how to tell on Payton and I think he enjoys watching her get in trouble. He has the best laugh and smile and when he smiles it always makes me smile. He is such a great kid and he is more fun everyday. Sarah saved me again and made this Mickey Mouse Cake which he loved. He could not stop looking at it and wanted to do nothing else but stand by the cake once it got to the house. The only part he didn't like was when everyone started singing happy birthday he got a little shy. With the help of dad he was able to blow out the candles.

Payton's Birthday Party

Payton had a few of her friends over for a birthday party. Everything was centered around Tangled since Payton is obsessed with Rapunzel. She had a lot of fun and enjoyed spending the day with her friends. All the girls had matching Rapunzel nightgowns it was really cute.

Sarah saved me and made the cake for Payton. I was going to make cupcakes and she volunteered to make the cake. Payton absolutely loved the cake and so did everyone else. It was such a fun cake Sarah really saved the day.

After dinner and cake we had a movie night. The movie of course was Tangled and I gave all the kids a little popcorn bucket. They all enjoyed the popcorn for awhile and then they decided it would be better to throw the popcorn this was a mess I didn't really count on but they had fun.

Payton's Birthday

Today Payton turned 4. I say this every year but I really wish she would stop growing up so fast. She is so fun to have around she keeps us all on our toes and has the boys doing whatever she tells them to do. She still has dad wrapped around her finger and he still will not admit it. Some of her favorite things right now are Rapunzel, make up and anything that has to do with a Disney princess. We were driving in the car one day and the boys were talking about what they wanted to be when they grow up and Payton all the sudden spoke up and said I want to go to princess school I am going to be a princess when I grow up. I don't think she will need to go to school for this she pretty much has it down. She gives the best squeezes and loves to snuggle. She is usually very happy and her laugh always makes me smile. We love you Payton! Happy Birthday!

Payton's New Room

Before we moved Logan onto a bed him and Payton shared a room. We felt like it was time for Payton to have her own space especially since there is a large sign on the boys door that states there are no girls allowed in their room. We had talked about Payton's room for months and looked at furniture and were having trouble finding something we agreed on. Then Kelly came over one day and showed me this web site that had all this furniture that you could build yourself you just had to print off the plans. So we found a bed we agreed on and some bookshelves. Chris and I spent the next few days painting the room and putting up bead board. Then Chris built the bed and the bookshelves which both turned out so good. I was very impressed at how well everything turned out since this was the first time Chris had ever done something like this. We did have help from some neighbors which helped the project move along a little faster.

Kelly and I even made the curtains. Kelly did most the work I just pinned and she did all the sewing and we did it with 8 kids running around the house talk about a crazy day.

The nightstand I got at DI for $10 and then we painted it and put new hardware on it added a basket and we had a nightstand.

The bedding I had to give on Payton loves Tangled and has wanted this bedding forever so I gave in and she loves it. It was not that hard for her to talk me into this since it got her out of our bed finally.

The whole room turned out so cute. It was so much fun to do. Chris and I actually really enjoyed doing this project together. We did not do it alone though so thanks to Kelly and our neighbors who all helped us out so much!

No More Crib

After 8 years of having a crib up in the house we took it down a week ago. Logan was ready for a big boy bed it was me that had a hard time watching the crib be taken down. He has loved sleeping in his new bed and does really good at naps and at night. He is so proud of his Lightning McQueen pillow and blanket he has to show everyone that comes over. It is so sad to think of how big he is now. He is the cutest kid full of energy and constantly trying to keep up with his big brothers. He is also very independent and loves to do things on his own.
