Walking

Payton has started walking she can now make it all the way across the room without falling. She is so proud of herself today she was trying to chase the kids around the room. I think she is excited that she can finally walk around like all the other kids. It has been fun watching her learn to walk even though I wish she would just stay little forever. She is so much fun I can't believe she is already almost 1.

No more Training Wheels!

So today Jaxson decided he wanted to ride his bike without the training wheels. So after 30 minutes of me trying to find the right tool to take off the training wheels we were headed outside. We were only outside for about 5 minutes when some of his friends came over to help him learn and give him a little encouragement. This was great for Jaxson but not so great for me since this meant there were 3 extra kids that we had to dodge as Jaxson tried to learn to ride his bike. After awhile Jaxson decided he was going to give up but after a pep talk from Carter he got back on his bike and tried again. We still have some work to do but he was able to ride his bike by himself for a little while. So I guess we will try again tomorrow maybe this time with a little less help from all of his friends.

I just had to add in this picture of Payton she can finally wear a clip in her hair I am so excited even though she tends to pull it out after about 30 minutes. She has also become attached to this little doll it is so cute she will crawl around with it everywhere. She is also almost walking she takes more steps everyday. I think that she will be walking everywhere in no time I have to admit I am a little sad it seems like she grew up way to fast.

Help Arrives!!!

My mom and dad came into town on Monday and it has been great to have the company. The kids have been loving having Grandma and Grandpa around and Payton has attached herself to Grandpa which has given me a nice little break. Since I guess that it is not going to stop snowing anytime soon we had to find something to do with the kids so they could get a little energy out so we took them to the Kangaroo Zoo. The kids had fun and Payton even decided to join in this time. She did go down a slide even though I am not sure how much she liked it as you can see from the pictures below.

The Dad Question

Since Chris has been gone I have wondered how the boys especially Jaxson would explain where dad was. So the other day Jaxson had a friend over and the conversation went something like this.

Friend: How many people are in your family?

Jaxson: Well there is Payton, me, Carter, my mom and my dad. Well there was five but now there is only four.

Friend: Why is there only four now?

Jaxson: My dad is gone

Friend: Where did he go?

Jaxson: He lives in North Carolina now.

Friend: Why? Doesn't he love you anymore?

Jaxson: Yes my dad really likes me!

Friend: Then why did he leave?

Jaxson: He got a job. Can I trade you for a different dino bite?

And that was the end of the conversation so Chris just so you know until we all live together again we are now a family of four and not five. I guess in Jaxsons eyes you have to live in the house to be counted as part of the family but at least he has the whole job thing down and he knows that his dad loves him. So I guess when the house sells and we all live together again we will become a family of five once more.

What I have Learned about Little Girls

1. They smear their food in their hair just like boys
2. Boys are born with a lot of energy and girls are born with a lot of attitude
3. The more the boys call Payton princess the more she demands to be treated like one
4. Even when they are getting into trouble all they have to do is smile and all is forgiven and they know it.
5. They have daddy wrapped around their finger even though daddy will not admit it
6. They love to cuddle
7. They have the best giggle
8. They don't like to take pictures anymore then boys (as you can see below she was tired after the third picture)

But I have to say she is a lot of fun and we love her attitude and all.

What Happened to my Fearless Boy?

Ever since Carter could walk he would jump, climb and leap off anything without thinking twice. Today we went to the Kangaroo Zoo and he would not go down the big slide without me. I have to admit it did feel kind of nice because most the time he is so independent and as he tells me he is saving all his hugs and kisses for Grandma. So it was fun to have him want to go down the slides with me and he had to make sure my arms were around him tight before we went down the slide. Jaxson had fun going down all the slides and just like always he made a new friend. Everywhere we go Jaxson makes a new friend to play with while we are there. Then there was Payton she wanted nothing to do with anything that bounced but at least she is feeling better and actually smiling.

Movie Anyone?

I know my mom is going to kill me but I was looking through my pictures and I found these from Christmas and I thought they were so funny. We had bought some Barbie movie and it came with 3-D glasses and they all set down to watch it with their glasses on. Secretly I think John was enjoying the movie the most out of all of them.
