Movie + Popcorn = A little Peace and Quiet

It is that time of year again when winter seems like it is never going to end and the kids are determined to tear apart the entire house before it does. I know that is probably just me, but this time of year starts to make me a little crazy the kids can't go outside because it is freezing so instead they run around screaming inside which is okay for about the first hour of the day but after 8 or 10 hours I start to go a little crazy. So last night I put on a movie and popped some popcorn and I could not believe how quiet it was I should have thought of this weeks ago. The quiet only lasted for about 1 1/2 hours but it was worth every minute. I can't wait for it to warm up just a little bit so they can run off some of their energy outside.

A Cute Carter Story

Yesterday Carter was in charge of our family home evening he was so proud of himself and loved being able to pick who got to do what during the lesson. So after I picked him up from preschool today he was asking if Chris could take him sledding when he got home from work. I told him that Chris had Young Men's tonight and would not be able to go sledding and Carter says from the back of the car "Oh yeah that is right I am suppose to go with him and teach the young men my lesson". When I told him I didn't think that he was going to do that he said but they really need to hear my lesson. So I just left it at that and told him he could talk to his dad when he got home. He is such a great kid and I can't believe how much he is learning lately he seems to remember everything he hears and is starting to do so well with his speech I am so proud of him and can't believe that he is getting to be so big.

More Baby News

Today we had our ultrasound and got to see the baby everything looked great and the baby seems to be in perfect health. We also got to find out the sex of the baby and as you can see from the second picture there was no mistaking that this baby was a boy. We are excited to be having another boy and the boys seem pretty excited to be having another brother. Payton so far has no reaction to any of this but I am sure that as she gets older she will have plenty to say about growing up with three brothers.

Yummy Chocolate Doughnuts

Payton loves chocolate doughnuts and by the time she is done she has chocolate everywhere for some reason she doesn't just bite the doughnut she has to put her whole face in the doughnut and eat it that way. Then after she is done with the doughnut she runs around the house crazy this is what we get for feeding her chocolate doughnuts for breakfast. I do have to say that I do her hair the last few pictures have just been before her bath so she still has some serious bed head.

Jaxson was the mystery person at school this week it was so fun because each day the class gets a different clue about the mystery person and on Wednesday Jaxson said to me "Mom you might want to get ready because I think that I am the mystery person this week" when I asked him why he told me that they got two clues at school that day and one was that the mystery person liked to go to his Grandpa's houseboat and the other was that the mystery person liked pineapple pizza and then he was sure that it was him. So we made a little poster with some pictures of him and I went to his class on Friday and told some stories about him and brought his favorite chocolate doughnuts. He was so excited to be the mystery person he could not wait to show all the kids the pictures of the fish that he has caught.

Payton's first night in her Big Girl Bed

I decided that it was time to try and move Payton out of the crib and into a bed so she could get use to it before the baby came. Since she is in love with Tinkerbell I did what I said I would never do and bought her the Tinkerbell bedset. She loved the bed and was so excited to sleep on it. She actually slept in it all night without a problem I was glad and at the same time really sad since this means she is growing up and won't be my baby girl for much longer. It is hard to watch her grow up it seems like it is going way to fast, but it is so fun to watch her and I am so excited that she seems to be taking to the new bed so easily hopefully it will last.

Once there was a Snowman....

The boys have been begging Chris to help them make a snowman since it started snowing so finally one night Chris went out with them and they ended up making a snowman for each of them. They of course had to add light sabers to them because we are still obsessed with Star Wars. They had so much fun with their dad and I was just glad that Chris was willing to go out and make a snowman because there was no way I was going to sit out in the cold and build a snowman thank goodness dad loves to play in the snow as much as the boys.

A New Kid

Since Payton finally got a few toys of her own she has been a totally different kid. She normally sits and watches barbie all day long but now she is more interested in playing with her car, purse and her kitchen it is so nice to watch her play. She has actually been a lot more pleasant around the house Chris and I are worried to say to much because we are enjoying her new attitude a little to much. We have been having so much fun with her lately it is fun to watch her with play and enjoy all her new toys. We could not resist taking a picture of her in her car with her sunglasses on and her cell phone she is already learning early.
