Tide Pools

This Weekend was our family reunion so while everyone was in town we decided to make a trip to the tide pools. The kids had fun looking at the starfish and the little crabs and as you can see Chris was also having fun as usual.

The kids and I packed up and headed to California and we are planning to stay for a month if I can make it without Chris for that long. Having four kids has made traveling a little more interested and definitely more exhausting I feel like I am running around all day. We ended leaving a little earlier then we had planned so it made everything a little more crazy. By the end of the first week everything had settled down and my Grandma was doing good so we decided to head to the lake with all the kids. All of us love the lake, but with 8 kids and 4 adults things were a little crazier then usually but everyone had tons of fun and the kids can not wait to get back to the lake and who can blame them. I love seeing the kids enjoy something that I loved to do growing up and hope that they have as many great memories as I do of the lake.
This was Jaxson's first time on the tube by himself and he did not want to get off. We are just hoping to get him skiing while his dad is here.

The four kids took off on the Paddle boat Kelly, John, Zan and I were all laughing right now it is just the paddle boat, but one day it is going to be the ski boat and we will be on the houseboat calling them and trying to get to turn down the music and come back.

I thought this picture was so cute when the kids woke up in the morning they all just sat there and looked out the window at the water.

All I have to Say is Finally

Every since we got our swing set Carter has loved to swing but has refused to learn how to do it himself. We would spend hours out there pushing him and then when we would go in the house he would sit out there and scream like someone was hurting him because we had stopped pushing him. Then a few weeks ago I looked outside and noticed he was swinging on his own and now he will spend hours out there just swinging and talking to himself. He is so much fun and I have enjoyed looking out the window watching him swing he is so proud of himself.

Soccer Camp, First Bath and Adjusting to Life with 4 Kids

It has been awhile since the last post I have to say adjusting to life with four kids has been a little crazy. Payton had a really hard time with the baby for the first couple of weeks and decided to spend most days crying or throwing fits about anything and everything which in turn made for very frustrated parents. She has finally accepted that Logan is not going anywhere and is doing much better. The boys are actually pretty good helpers most of the time and luckily Logan has been a pretty easy baby. The boys started soccer camp on Monday and they have really enjoyed it and it gives them something to do instead of wrestling all over the house from the time they wake up until they go to bed at night. Chris assures me that the wrestling thing is normal but after listening to it all day long it can start to wear on your nerves. I have to say that the fourth baby is nothing like the first when you could nap when they napped I miss those days now when Logan is napping I am chasing my boys all over neighborhood and trying to keep Payton out of the dog water in the backyard. Even though things are crazy it has been so fun getting to know Logan and watching the kids with him.

Welcome Logan!!!

Logan Christopher Willis was born on May 14, 2009 he weighed 6 lbs. 9 ozs. and was 19 1/4 inches long. He has been the best baby he is a good little eater and sleeps very well. He is very loved by everyone especially his two brothers. Payton is still getting use to the idea of a baby being around, but she does pretty well with him. He came a little early but he is very healthy and it has been so much fun getting to know him.

Logan was born on the same day as my niece Aubrey she is so good with him she loves to sit with Grandma and look at Logan.

Happy Birthday Payton!!!

Today was Payton's 2nd Birthday time has gone by so fast it doesn't seem like it was that long ago when she was just a little baby. For some reason having her grow up is really hard for me I want her to be my little girl forever. She is so much fun lately she loves playing outside with Chris and the boys and we can't forget Buster. She has really changed in the last few months and is coming out of her shell she use to hide when we had company and now she loves to run around and try to get the attention of whoever is over. She has been so much fun and I think she pretty much has all of us wrapped around her little fingers, but it is so hard to say no or even get her in trouble when she looks at you with that cute little face.

She was not so sure about the candle on the cake when we put it by her she would try to hit the cupcake away, but after the candle was blown out and put away she slowly enjoyed her cupcake.

My mom put this balloon in the box that she sent and when you opened the box out came the balloon Payton thought this was great. The balloon went everywhere Payton went this included the tub and then she took it outside.

My mom also sent her coloring books and crayons and pens as soon as these were opened she lost interest in all other presents I was a little sad because I had bought her the cutest castle, but all she wanted to do was color hopefully she will enjoy the castle in the days to come.

Aunt Gretchen got her a Tinkerbell purse and I was very impressed because she did put the crayons down to play with her purse. Gretchen always finds just the right gifts for the kids they always love them. Thanks Gretchen

Payton's New Best Friend

Payton has a new friend she recently discovered Buster and she can not get enough. She loves to feed him whatever snack is in her bag and I think that Buster is enjoying his new friend just as much as she is. I do have to say he is very patient with her because when she is not feeding him snacks she is pulling on his tail to get him to go where she wants. It is fun to watch her with him and even though I curse the dog pretty much everyday I have to admit that he is very patient with the kids and now he is entertaining Payton what more can I ask for.
